"The Gryphon Tea House" fiber artwork is completed and framed!   In an earlier post I mentioned that I had had a lovely afternoon tea at this sweet spot after exploring Savannah, Georgia by foot for several hours.  As I sat with tea and scones at the Gryphon, my view was of a wood paneled wall with 2 large pieces of black and white art.  In front of the wall was a collection of orange chairs, piled, strewn about, a sculpture of orange.   I chose to include only 2 chairs in this piece, hoping to give a sense of peace and clarity, both of which I felt from being there. (and from eating and drinking!) I designed this piece in the "bare-bones" style, emphasizing structure and feeling more than detail.

This fiber artwork is made entirely of fabric and thread and has been professionally matted and framed.
