"How the Light Gets In" - New Artwork

I'd been thinking about how light finds its way through the smallest cracks; about how love finds its way through subtle, almost invisible openings. At the same time, I heard again a Leonard Cohen song with these words:

"Ring the bells that still can ring.

Forget your perfect offering.

There is a crack in everything.

That's how the light gets in."

There is a crack in everything. There are cracks all over my life. That's how the light gets in!

I have just discovered your blog via pinterest and I am really enjoying exploring. I was attracted by the colour of colorado autum blaze which is glorious - but I am really moved by 'how the light gets in'. The sentiments behind the quilt are lovely, but the layout and design is just so successful. I love it when you find a quilt that just speaks to you. I will be coming back for more!
