"Breathing" - New Mixed Media Mosaic

Not long ago, we gathered paint chips to help us decide what color to paint the pocket bathroom. You can never have too many paint chips!

We painted the bathroom peach. What was left was a neat collection of paint chips. Fun!

I cut them into a zillion pieces of different sizes and started a new mosaic.

I'm almost always working on my breathing because I tend to stop breathing when concentrating. As this piece evolved, the blue spiral seemed like a long, cool breath taking center stage. Ahhhhh. Breathing.

Hi Geri! I'm telling you, we are so much alike that each time I read your blog I just can't believe it! Your mosaic is fantastic! I, too, love using paint chips and take them by the handfuls when choosing paint. I also relate to you saying you tend to hold your breath when concentrating as I do the same. I can definitely see/feel the blue spiral being a wonderful deep breath! I've been planning to make some glass mosaics and did get some supplies to get started. But, I love your idea of using paint chips to make them also.

I'm glad to find a kindred spirit Shauna! I'd love to see your work.
