Stuck... So Playtime In My Sketchbook!

Sometimes I have so much on my mind and so many ideas that I get immobilized. After cleaning up a bit, wandering through unfinished projects and moving papers from one side of the studio to another, I'm tempted to quit for the day. 

But this is prime time for play! Usually that gets me unstuck and often it's just plain fun. Here are today's creations.

Interesting! Your work as above articulates a process of thinking that I encounter. Its based on reaching the knowing and being at peace in the present. Your painting, as I see it, is the moving out off the cell of ignorance into the knowing or the enlightenment. But, the journey continues... because lifes journey comes in phases, bite size chunks or another degree in learning and then once that chunk is processed, staying still is not an option, for the process continues. But, why. Knowing the answer to that is the KNOWING.

Thanks for your comment Daniel.

You hit the nail on the head about the knowing and being at peace in the present. I think when I can let go of all the noise in my head and just flow in this moment, creating art is natural, fun and truly part of me. But even when that happens, there is a process that keeps on growing. What I mean is that each time I prepare to create, there is an inner process like I just described which leads to knowing what to do next and creating something genuine.
