"Beliefs"- A New Mixed-Media Artwork

I have at times been dogmatic about one belief or another. It can feel intense, hot, full of high energy. It can feel good, and righteous or stubborn and angry.
I'd bump into someone who had a dogmatic belief that was the opposite of mine. Our "conversation" could become heated as we would adamantly take our corners and hold our position. The irony is that neither of us would convince the other to change their view. But we did often end up feeling alienated from one another. We had built a wall between us and we couldn't really see or hear one another.
An even greater irony is that beliefs and opinions change over time. That belief I was willing to argue about in the past may no longer be something I now hold true.
This piece is about the relationship division created between people when we hold more adamantly to our beliefs than we do to one another.
